BJP high command summons Mining Minister Murugesh Nirani to New Delhi

Bengaluru: Mining Minister Murugesh Nirani cancelled his Ballari and Kalaburagi visits scheduled on Tuesday July 6 and left for New Delhi after Union Home Minister Amit Shah asked him to join an important meeting.

According to the sources, on Monday July 5, he stopped at Chitradurga on his way to Ballari as he received a direct call from Amit Shah.

Nirani is expected to be made as the Karnataka CM in next few weeks, according to the sources.

As he belongs to strong Panchamasali community of the Veerashaiva Lingayat caste, BJP is planning to make him as the new CM.
