Bangalore : The State BJP has demanded the resignation of Union Petroleum Minister M Veerappa Moily over the alleged misuse of power and for indulging in corruption.
The BJP alleged that Moily has misused his office by availing crores of rupees as donation in the name of the Trust owned by his family members. The party has also said that nearly Rs 6 crores has flown into the Trust from Reliance Company since 2005 after Moily took charge as Corporate Affairs Minister.
Speaking to reporters here, Party spokesperson and MLA Ashwath Narayan has demanded the resignation of Moily to both his ministership as well as his MP seat until he comes out free of charges.
He also urged the Congress leadership which was claiming that it would fight for a corruption free rule, to make it clear as to whether it would use the services of Moily during the next assembly election.
