Bengaluru: BJP leaders led by former CM B S Yeddyurappa and B Sreeramulu are continuing their efforts to woo Congress MLAs.

According to sources, both the leaders have made revised offers of ministership to the disgruntled Congress MLAs.

According to sources with the BJP, four Congress MLAs- Ramesh Jarakiholi, Umesh Jadhav, B Nagendra, and Mahesh Kumatanahalli have already confirmed that they are ready to join the BJP. But the opposition party is eyeing at least another six MLAs.

If the sources in the BJP are to be believed, mining baron Gali Janardhana Reddy said that he is ready to overlook his differences with Vijayanagara MLA Anand Singh if he is ready to join the BJP. “Reddy also assured that he will not block Singh’s efforts to become a minister,” said a BJP leader, who added that a prominent RSS leader from Kalladka in the Dakshina Kannada district has discussed the proposal with Anand Singh.

Sources also say that the BJP has given all the disgruntled Congress MLAs until January 31 to resign. “The party doesn’t want Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy presenting another budget,” sources added.
