Bengaluru : Following the results of today’s assembly polls, which showed the party taking a sizable lead in three of the four states for which counting is underway, former chief minister of Karnataka, B S Yediyurappa, declared on Sunday that the BJP would win all 28 of the state’s seats in the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
Yediyurappa praised the performance of the BJP and congratulated Prime Minister Natendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP President J P Nadda on the impending victories in the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, and Rajasthan.
According to the most recent trends on Sunday, the Congress is leading in Telangana while the BJP is clearly in the lead in Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, and Rajasthan.
Strongman of the Lingayats claimed that it was now evident on multiple occasions that the Congress and other parties do not oppose the BJP’s attempt to govern the nation. “These (assembly) election results have laid a foundation for Congress to bite the dust,” he stated.
“After these results, we will make a sincere effort to win all 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka and gift it to Prime Minister Modi,” Yediyurappa told the media.
Following the conclusion of the current Karnataka legislative assembly session in Belagavi, Yediyurappa declared he will go around the state to campaign.
He also said that his son B Y Vijayendra is getting a rousing welcome in all parts of the state after becoming state president, which is an indication of the trust built among people.
Apart from its excellent showing in MP, Chattisgarh and Rajasthan, Yediyurappa said, the BJP has performed well in Telangana in 10 seats. Counting is still underway and BJP currently leads in eight seats in the southern state.
