Big relief: 50 CCB police tests negative for COVID 19

Bengaluru: In a big relief to the city police, 50 CCB police personnel who were considered as primary and secondary contacts of a COVID 19 positive accused arrested by the CCB in connection with cheating a cab aggregator service provider have tested negative.

Earlier the CCB head office in Chamarajpet was sealed down after the accused tested positive for the COVID 19. The swab samples of the police personnel who visited the head office were sent for labs for testing. Now all the samples have come back negative.

As a precautionary measure, all the staff was under self-isolation. These include the 2 inspectors who arrested the accused.

The CCB office is expected to be opened on Tuesday after sanitization and other procedures mandated by the health department are carried out.
