Bengaluru: Six people got a new lease of life when a brain-dead donor donated his organs on Sunday. This is the fourth such fourth cadaveric organ donation this month.

Nagaraj’s eyes were donated to Narayana Nethralaya. Nagaraj’s kidneys were transplanted on patients at St John’s Hospital and Manipal Hospital. The valves of his heart were transplanted on a patient at Narayana Hrudayalaya. The liver was transplanted to a 60-year-old man from Bengaluru at BGS Global Hospitals.
Nagaraj(30), met an accident at Tumkaru while riding his bike. He suffered sever brain injury and was shifted to BGS Global Hospitals in the City for further treatment.
He was declared brain-dead by the doctors on March 27. The doctors then counseled his family about organ donation would help the needful. The family readily came forward to donate the organs.
