Bengaluru: Revenue Minister R. Ashok has said that drone surveillance of all villages and habitations in the State will be speeded up further.

During the Question Hour, BJP Member replying to Y. M. Satish’s question, the Minister said a joint circular was issued in 2016 by the Revenue Department and the Rural Development Department and guidelines were issued for rescheduling the village. The Central Government has also launched the Swamitva Scheme with the aim of measuring properties in residential areas of villages in the state and issuing title deeds.

Under the scheme, as per the land condition of the rural areas, the gramthana, the extended gramathana or the habitations with more than 10 houses are being surveyed and title deeds are distributed for the properties.
