Bengaluru: Keeping durability of roads in mind, the government has decided to have whitetopping on the roads in next two years.

After inspecting several infrastructural works in progress on Wednesday, Minister for Bengaluru Development K J George said that 220 kms of city roads will be converted into whitetopping roads, which are more durable than the present asphalted roads.
With durability of about 30 years, these white-topping roads can sustain all weather condition along with heavy vehicular load.
The work has already started on the 670 metres long Kasturaba road and is expected to be completed by the end of this month, George said.
The ministry had given nod to widening of 214 roads in the city and the work will resume soon, he said.
