Bengaluru: Six achievers from various fields have been awarded ‘Sri Maharshi Valmiki Puraskar’ for the year 2022 at Sri Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti function on Sunday at 10.30 am held at the Banquet Hall of Vidhana Soudha.

In the social sector, L. S. H. Muniswamy from Mysuru Division, Subhash. N from Bengaluru division. Nagappa from Bengaluru, Nagappa H. Koni from Belagavi division. Smt. P. Padma (Padmavathi) from Kalaburagi Division in the field of Arts, Padma (Padmavati) and Usharani from Kalaburagi Division in the field of Arts and Social Sciences have been selected for the award for the year 2022.

The award includes a plaque, a 20-gram gold medal and a cash prize of Rs. 5 lakh each.
