Bengaluru: Along with Rahul Gandhi, his sister Priyanka Gandhi and mother, Congress President Sonia Gandhi will take a part in Bharat Jodo Yatra in the State on September 30, said Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President D. K. Shivakumar.
He was speaking about the preparation of the yatra here on Friday September 23. Shivakumar said Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will be participating in yatra but the dates are yet to be confirmed.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary K. C. Venugopal along with another AICC General Secretary and In-Charge of Karnataka Randeep Singh Surjewala State Congress President Shivakumar and a host of leaders on Friday participated in the party’s review meeting on the yatra.
Meanwhile Venugopal said that the yatra will begin at Gundlupete on Friday September 30 at 9.00 am. On account of Gandhi Jayanti October 2, there is a programme at Badanavalu in Nanjangudu Taluk, which is known for its Khadi and Gramodyog Centre.
