Bengaluru: To ensure better patrolling across the city, to bring down the crime rate and to provide early response to distress calls, the city police have decided to add 911 new Cheetah bikes to their patrol team. These bikes will be fitted with GPS and are expected to bring down the response time to distress calls in any part of the city to less than 5 minutes.

According to sources in the police department, the procurement process of these 911 bikes has been completed. “The alteration works are in progress. Before the Deepavali festival, these bikes will be put into operation,” informed an officer.
