Bengaluru: Police have arrested a man accused of stabbing his girlfriend after she refused to marry him stating that her parents’ objected.

The accused has been identified as Dinkar, a native of Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh works, who works at a private company in Dommalur. Apparently he stabbed the girl more than 10 times.

The deceased Leela Pavitra (25), was also a native of Andhra Pradesh and working at a private company in Murugeshpalya.

Reportedly Dinkar and Leela had been in a relationship for over five years and belonged to different castes which became bone of contention for marriage.

A case has been registered at Jeevan Bhimanagar Police Station.
