Bengaluru: Customs official at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) seized gold worth Rs. 28.73 lakh from a man on Saturday December 31.
Officials informed that the man, who arrived from Maldives hid 532.21 gm of gold paste in three oval-shaped packets in his rectum.
The seized gold is worth Rs. 28,73,934.
A passenger travelling from Dubai was intercepted by customs officials on December 29 and found 210.35 gm of gold concealed in undergarments.
The market price of the gold that was seized is about Rs. 11,18,103.
