Bengaluru: A man fatally stabbed his estranged wife as she was living with a neighbour. The man who came from Kolkata also stabbed his toddler son but the child survived. The accused has been arrested.

The incident happened in Afzal Layout, Saraipalya in the night of Monday March 21. The accused Sheikh Sohel and wife, Tabsen Baby had moved to Bengaluru in 2013. As differences cropped up between them Sohel went back to Kolkata. Tabsen who stayed back in Bengaluru with two-and-a-half years old Naeem, her son allegedly after an affair with one Syed Nadeem moved in with him. Sohel who learnt about Tabsen’s affair came down to Bengaluru. Drunk, he met her around midnight and being enraged on seeing that that she was living with another man poked a knife into her neck. He stabbed his son too. Gulshan, Tabsen’s sister was witness to this horror

The child was rushed to hospital and his condition is stable. Police have arrested Sohel and charged him if murder and attempted murder.
