Bengaluru: Suvarna Karnataka Rakshana Sena blocked the highway road work at Siddapura in Hobli and demanded that the farmers be given cheques for their dues.
Speaking on the occasion, Suvarna Karnataka Rakshana Sena State President said that the garmers have been cheated a lot by officials in Raghavendra Gowda Arakalagud Taluk and when the farmers informed us about this, they have been protesting for nearly two years and as a result of the additional compensation, the farmers are yet to get due to the lapses of the authorities.
On this day, the work should be stopped and the officials should be warned to carry out the work by giving additional compensation to the farmers and the lapses on the part of the authorities regarding the compensation money should be stopped. He warned that the fraudulent officers should be suspended and compensation money should be paid at the earliest and if the issue is not resolved immediately, the Suvarna Karnatak Rakshana Sena will go on a hunger strike in the coming days.
Officials of the organisation said that within a week, the farmers will be given a cheque as additional compensation money.
