Bengaluru: Several City neighbourhoods saw a decline in the real-time air quality monitoring index on the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) portal on Diwali night. The moderate category for the air quality index readings ranged from 101 to 200 in major City areas like Silk Board, BTM, and Hebbal on October 24.
Those with lung and heart conditions, children, and the elderly may experience breathing difficulties as a result of an AQI value in the moderate group, informed the CPCB.
The AQI at BTM was 122 on Diwali night (October 24), compared to 177 at Bapuji Nagar, 111 at Hebbal, 121 at Jayanagar, and 122 at Silk Board (123). According to CPCB data, the AQI at Silk Board on Tuesday morning was a poor 236.
