Bengaluru: The state governmnet has transferred Bengaluru City Police commissioner Praveen Sood on Monday, July 31. He is posted as the ADGP Communications, Logistics and Modernisation.
Suneel Kumar, who was ADGP and Managing Director of Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation (KSPHC) will replace Sood.
Praveen Sood took tenure as city Police commissioner lasted 7 months after he took charge on January 1. Recently Sood had filed cases against 36 Kannada activists including Karnataka Rakshana Vedike KRV workers under Section 153 of the Indian Penal Code for destroying public property in Metro stations.
Kannada scholars and artistes along with KRV activists had held a protest against Sood for filing cases against Kannada activists.
