Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested seven persons including the Manager during a raid on an alleged dance bar on Rest House Road, off Brigade Road. According to the CCB, 19 women who had been lured into the trade had been rescued.
The CCB’s women protection squad raided Xcuse Bar, located on the fourth floor of the Mango Tree Hotel, on Saturday August 20. The CCB alleged that the bar’s owner and Manager made skimpy-dressed women dance to draw customers. In addition, the bar violated the rules by playing loud music. It also said that the bar lacked the occupancy certificate.
Seventeen customers who were present at the bar at the time of the raid have been detained. According to the CCB, 10 of the women are from West Bengal, three are from Delhi, two are from Maharashtra and Nepal, and one is from each Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka.
