Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah taking a dig at State and the Central Government, said that the farm crisis continues while the promised doubling of income for the farmers has not seen the light of day.
While speaking in the Assembly, Siddu said in the State, the rich are becoming richer and the poor are becoming poorer. “Most people were giving up farming as it was no longer profitable, he added.
He regretted, “This was despite 50 per cent of employment generated across the country was in the agricultural sector,” he said.
