Bengaluru: Assembly Deputy Speaker Anand Mamani no more

Bengaluru: Assembly Deputy Speaker and three-time BJP MLA Anand Mamani (56) passed away on the night of Saturday October 22 after suffering from illness for more than a month.

Mamani had a liver infection and was a diabetic patient. He was receiving hospital treatment at Manipal hospital in the City. He was initially taken to Chennai on the advice of a medical expert for treatment, and then he was shifted to Manipal hospital. According to sources, he had been in a coma for the past few days.

He was an MLA for the Savadatti constituency.

His mortal remains will be taken to his hometown on Sunday for the public to pay homage.
