Bengaluru: Yakub, a mathematics teacher from Nada government high school in Belthangady selected for national teacher’s award. Three years ago he was also felicitated with state best teacher’s award. Yakub started his career as a mathematics teacher in the year 1996. For the last 24 years, he is serving in the school as a mathematics teacher.

Yakub’s innovative mathematics lab has brought him the award. He will be conferred with the award on September 5 in New Delhi by President Ram Nath Kovind.

He has prepared over 300 you tube videos for the children in mathematics which are very popular.

Yakub stated that the award will motivate him further. He appealed the public to support the government schools.
