Bellandur building collapse: Death toll increases to four

Bengaluru: The death toll in the under-construction building collapse incident on Wednesday near Ecospace on Bellandur main road has now increased to four. The rescue teams including the fire and emergency personnel recovered another body from under the debris of the building.

Death toll increases to three in Bellandur building collapseThe body was recovered on Thursday morning around 5.30 a.m. The identity of the deceased, a male aged around 30 years, is yet to be ascertained. The rescue operations are still under progress.

Sources from the fire personnel have stated that there was a very minimal chance of anyone being alive under the debris. . “We are clearing all the debris just to ensure no one else is trapped inside,” said an official.

As many as 150 rescue personnel got into action including police department, fire services and NDRF after the incident.
