Bengaluru: Despite warnings from Union Skill Development Minister Anant Kumar Hegde to refrain from printing his name on the Tipu Jayanthi invitation card, the Belagavi district administration has printed his name as a special invitee.

Going by BJP’s stand to oppose the celebration, Hegde had said that his name should not be printed on the card, failing which he will cause immense embarrassment to the organisers during the event.

But, recently CM Siddaramaiah had stated that Hegde’s name will be printed as per protocol and the district administration seems to have done the same.

Name of local BJP MP Suresh Angadi has also been mentioned in the invitation.

Reacting to the development, Hegde has said to stated that please ‘wait and watch’ his next move.
