Bengaluru: BBMP commissioner BH Anil Kumar has written to the state government requesting cancellation of free milk distribution in the city limits as it is causing a lot of chaos.

With the idea of finding a solution to the excess milk supplied to the KMF from the farmers, the state government launched this free milk distribution across the state.

“A lot of violations are reported at the time of milk distribution. The people are not following the lockdown and the social distancing guidelines. So we have written to the state government seeking cancellation of the free milk distribution,” he said.

He also stated that officials will be held responsible if the confusion continues in the food distribution.

Meanwhile, the BBMP has quarantined one of its health officers after he allegedly came in contact with Covid-19 positive patient.
