Bengaluru: The BBMP is gearing up to distribute Covid-19 vaccine in a big way. According to BBMP commissioner N Majunath Prasad, the BBMP is now ready to store about 25 lakh vaccines at a time.

According to the sources, the central government has sanctioned walk-in cooler for the purpose of storing the Covid 19 vaccine.

However, 95,011 Covid-19 warriors have been identified and they will receive the vaccination in the first round said sources adding that among them over 65,000 are para-medical and nursing staff.

The state government is planning to open up a separate cell in the health department to monitor the vaccine distribution and other allied activities.
