Bengaluru: A Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Corporator landed in Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) net, while accepting a bribe of Rs 15 Lakh from a contractor.

ACB sleuths caught Congress Corporator Krishnamurthy red-handed while accepting the graft. Krishnamurthy was arrested by a team led by ACB Superintendent of Police Garish immediately.

The corporator had placed a bribe demand for carrying out works of a government building in Manjunathanagar ward.

This is the first time that the ACB has succeeded in nabbing an elected representative.
