Bengaluru: Bandepalya Police in the City celebrated the New Year in a unique way. They made the rowdy-sheeters at the station to plant a sapling on the new year day and make a vow that they will never engage in rowdism again.
In all 23 rowdies who are in the rowdy-sheeter list of the station planted various fruit saplings around the Somasundarapalya Lake in the City.
Further, the police have given the responsibility to rowdy-sheeters of taking care of these saplings. According to the inspector L. Y. Rajesh, the idea is to bring changes in the life of these rowdy-sheeters. “Punishing them, and summoning them to the station is common. We want the rowdies to change their behaviour forever.
