Bengaluru: A baby girl, about three months old, was found abandoned in a BMTC bus parked at Majestic bus stand on Sunday morning.

The driver tried searching for the parents but was unsuccessful. He then alerted Upparpet police, who handed over the baby to BOSCO child care.

Police sources said that, the bus was parked at the bus station on platform no.21 early in morning and the driver had been to the washroom. On his return, he found the baby covered in a bedsheet and newspaper on a seat behind the driver’s seat.

“The Children’s Welfare Protection Committee will try to trace the parents. If they fail, they will file a complaint with us and we will take over the investigation,” said a police officer.
