Bengaluru: B.Y. Vijayendra, Karnataka BJP’s incoming state president, will officially assume office on November 15. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for 10 am at Jagannath Bhavan, the BJP office in Malleswaram, Bengaluru.
Before the ceremony, BYV will receive a Poorna Kumbh welcome at the BJP state office at 9:45 am, followed by a cow puja. Nalin Kumar Kateel, the current president, will hand over the charge to Vijayendra after the Purnahuti of Ganapati Homa.
Pujas and homa havans have been ongoing at the BJP office since last night, including Durga Homa and Ganapati Homa. The streets of Malleswaram are adorned with BJP flags, and posters of Vijayendra are prominently displayed. The BJP office is decorated with toranas in preparation for the event.
B Y Vijayendra personally reached out to party leaders, extending invitations for the swearing-in ceremony. He contacted state BJP leaders, Union ministers, district presidents, and others, urging them to attend. However, with CT Ravi not participating, it raises uncertainty about other dissidents’ attendance. It remains to be seen how Vijayendra will address these developments.
