Bengaluru: B Sreeramulu, who was given social welfare department after moving out of the health department declined to take the new portfolio.

According to the sources, Ramulu is very upset with the way in which he was ousted from the health department. He also made it clear that Karnataka government has not failed in containing the spread of Covid 19.

According to the sources close to Ramulu, he approached the party national leadership against change in his portfolio and informed that he wants to continue in the old portfolio.

Meanwhile, sources in the state government informed that to ensure better coordination between health and medical education departments and to ensure more effective Covid19 management, health department is given to Dr. K Sudhakar, who is a doctor by profession.
