Bengaluru: Amid tight police security, several incidents of sexual harassment and assaults have been reported during New Year celebrations in Bengaluru.

In Koramangala 5th block, a woman alleged that a group harassed her. The miscreants fled from the scene and the police launched an investigation.

Near MG Road Metro station, a North Indian youth was assaulted by the unknown group. He has been rushed to a local hospital.

In Brigade road, a woman sustained injuries as she slipped while dancing. She was also taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and was discharged after first aid.

Meanwhile, according to the eyewitnesses, a woman slapped a youth in Church street of the city for allegedly misbehaving with her. No police complaint has been registered.
