Bengaluru: Former DySP Anupama Shenoy has accused Superintendent of Police (SP) R?Chetan of harassing her, in a letter written to the State Women’s Commission.

According to sources, the letter states that Shenoy did not receive co-operation from her subordinates. The former officer has also said that the SP was responsible for her resignation. She has alleged that the secret documents at the Kudligi police station were released by the SP when she had gone on a 19-day leave.
Shenoy said that the SP sent her leave letter to medical board for examination in May and also that he had issued her memos for senseless reasons after she returned from her leave.
The letter, dated June 4, reached the Commission on Tuesday through one of Shenoy’s close relatives. The official at the Commission confirmed the receipt of the letter and said that, only after the date was changed to June 21, the complaint was accepted.
The official also stated that the relative was told to inform Shenoy that she should come in person and only then the matter could be taken forward.
Full faith in Commission: SP Chethan
Refuting Shenoy’s claims, SP Chethan said that he had taken decisions in Shenoy’s case as per norm. He could have sent wrong reports about Shenoy if he had to harass her. “I have full faith in the Commission,” he said.
