Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) formed under CCB in the city

Bengaluru: The state, which is on a high alert for the alleged sleeper cell activities of a few terrorist groups over the last few days has now received an Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS). This squad has been formed under the CCB headquartered in the city. 

It can be recalled that the state police recently carried out inspections across the state on the suspicion of anti-national activities including Tirthahalli, Srirangapatna in Mandya, Ramanagara town in Ramanagara etc.
According to CCB joint commissioner Sandeep Patil, Kuladeep Kumar R Jain, DCP, CCB have been asked to lead this ATS, which will take over the investigation of all the cases, incidents related to the terrorist activities in the state, besides frequent monitoring of the advisories issued by the central agencies.
Meanwhile, the CCB also formed separate cells to monitor and investigate complaints related to women’s security and drug menace in the city. Senior IPS officer KP Ravi Kumar will lead this cell.
