Bengaluru: A day after BJP national joint organising secretary B L Santhosh stated that the party ticket can’t be given based on genes and DNA, supporters of late Union minister Ananth Kumar expressed their ire against him.

According to the late minister’s supporters, Santhosh’s statement reflects his “political immaturity”. “If genes and DNA are not considered by the party, how did B Y Raghavendra, Anna Saheb Jolle etc. get a ticket?,” BJP supporter Adishesha asked on his Facebook wall.

Another BJP supporter, Ramesh Rao pointed out that when Ananth Kumar was active in politics, B L Santhosh was a silent leader. “He joined the BJP from the back door. He wants leaders like Tejasvi Surya who will listen to him. He doesn’t want a mass leader,” he alleged.

Meanwhile, senior BJP leaders including former CM B S Yeddyurappa, former DCM R Ashok etc. have refrained from making any comments on Santhosh’s statement.
