
Bengaluru: Former union minister Ananth Kumar’s ash was immersed in the holy river Ganga, at Dehradun on Tuesday, November 20. His friends and relatives took the ash from Bengaluru to Dehradun as per the family’s wish.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat immersed the ash in the river. Speaking on the occasion, he stated that Ananth Kumar ensured an engineering college in the state through his ministry and he will be remembered forever.
Senior members of the Uttarakhand cabinet, bureaucrats and Ananth Kumar ‘s supporters were present on the occasion.
According to the family sources, Ananth Kumar’s ash will be immersed in all the major holy rivers of the country as per the wish of the family.
