Bengaluru: With the election commission withdrawing the Model Code of Conduct, the state government started re-posting the officers to their original posts. As part of the process, Akram Pasha, commissioner, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj department has been reinstated as the Hassan DC, but his predecessor Priyanka Mary Francis has not been shown any posting as of now.

Akram Pasha succeded Rohini Sindhuri as the Hassan DC in February, but election commission ousted him from the district following complaints that he is partisan towards the ruling JDS and appointed Priyanka Mary Francis.

Priyanka Mary Francis won the hearts of many as she didn’t care for the threats of the district in-charge minister HD Revanna. Revanna openly criticised Priyanka Mary Francis on several occasions.

But now Pasha is back to Hassan and no posting has been shown to Priyanka Mary Francis.
