Bengaluru: A 50-year-old patient was airlifted from Hubli to Bengaluru’s Narayana Health City here on February 21.
A family from Bengaluru had gone to attend a wedding in Hubli. Everyone was rejoicing and having fun when 50-year-old Ramesh (name changed) complained of chest pain and suddenly collapsed. He was rushed to a local hospital in Hubli where doctors diagnosed a triple vessel block and advised that he be operated immediately. The family took the opinion of couple of other doctors among their relatives (since it was a wedding, everyone was present) and they also advised not to waste any time and get the patient treated at the earliest.
Since the family hails from Bengaluru, they were particular that he be operated only at Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences and to avoid any further delay, they decided to bring him here by an air ambulance. The patient was airlifted from Hubli to Bangalore and taken to Narayana Health City in a span of 1 hour 40 minutes.
The air ambulance service was provided by Aviators Air Rescue.
This is the second air rescue within this month where a patient has been airlifted to Narayana Health City.
