Bengaluru: Day after Belagavi MP Suresh Angadi failed to get a ministerial berth in the Modi cabinet the minister has blamed the BJP state leadership for its failure in convincing the central leadership.
Anantkumar Hegde, MP from Sirsi emerged as a surprise pick over Angadi, who was considered to be among the top probables for a ministerial berth in the Cabinet.
Reacting to a question related to missing union ministerial berth on Sunday’s expansion, Angadi informed that if party state leadership would have been able to convince the need of inducting me to the cabinet citing electoral gains in the North Karnataka region, I would have become a minister by now. “It is my bad luck that state leaders didn’t try,” he stated.
“I have been elected from Belagavi which has different castes, religion, and linguistic people. Even though more than 50% people in my constituency Marathi speaking, I have been elected by them. Despite this I am restricted to a particular caste,” he said.
