Advocate General Uday Holla resigns

Bengaluru: A day after BJP state president B S Yediyurappa assumed charge as the new Chief Minister of the state, Advocate General Uday Holla put in his resignation.

Holla was appointed by the JDS-Congress government led by former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy.

Now, Additional Solicitor General Prabhulinga Navadgi is expected to replace Holla.

Meanwhile, several writers and activists are also expected to quit various academies. Aravind Malagatti, a Dalit writer from Mysuru has already announced his resignation from his post as Karnataka Sahitya Academy chairman.
