
Bengaluru: The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has released a report listing the top 10 regional parties with the highest capital for the year 2017-18.
In the 11-page report by the ADR, the All India Samajwadi Party tops the list with a capital of Rs 583.29 crores.
Following it is Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) with a capital of Rs 191.64 crores.
Third on the list is the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) with Rs 189.54 crores, fourth – Telugu Desam Party (TDP) with Rs 131.59 crores, fifth – Shiv Sena with Rs 51.92 crores, sixth – Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) with Rs 29.04 crores, seventh – Biju Janata Dal (BJD) with Rs 25.17 crores, eighth – Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) with Rs 21.06 crores, ninth – Janata Dal (Secular) (JDS )with Rs 15.44 crores, and tenth – Janata Dal (United) (JDU) with Rs 13.78 crores.
The reports reveal that the JD(S) loan amount has slightly increased. In the financial year 2017-18, the loan amount is Rs 7.008 crores compared to 2016-17, which was Rs 7.004 crores.
The party has also seen a 1281.91 per cent increase in its treasury. In 2017-18 the treasury had Rs 8.43 crores when compared to 2016-17 which was just Rs 0.61 crores.
According to the reports, the loan amount of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has dropped from Rs 1.22 crore in 2016-17 to 0.96 crore in 2017-18.
