Bengaluru: Actor Prakash Raj/Rai requested the political parties to stop politicising Mahadayi water dispute and protest for justice together on a single forum.

Speaking in a social media, Rai said that the parties should keep their ideologies aside and expressed their complete support for the state-wide bundh call given by pro-Kannada organisation. “Mahadayi water is a fundamental right of Kannadigas and we should use our water,” he said adding that any claim by persons or organisation to bring water to state because their government is in power at the centre or at the state is a pure lie.

“Political parties should stop playing politics over fundamental rights. Don’t beg for votes. Let’s come together. I always support those who are with fight of farmers,” says Prakash Rai, who is arguably inclined towards politics as well.

However, what is surprising is the fact that the same actor had vented out his anger on a television anchor for questioning him about the Cauvery row in which Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have been embroiled in over several years. The actor had said that he was an actor and that such questions should not be shot at him.
