Bengaluru: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday searched the homes and offices of seven government officials across the State as well as the homes of their family members and friends.
According to a statement by the ACB, one of the officials is the Chief Engineer of the BBMP and another is an executive engineer of the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA).
The ACB sleuths came across documents pertaining to several vacant sites across the State, coffee estates valued in crores as well as several apartments and houses in Bengaluru. The searches resulted in the seizure of property documents, cash and ornaments.
The ACB will now begin the process of examining these documents to ascertain if the properties and assets were acquired through legal income.
