Abducted girl found near mosque

Bengaluru: The abduction of a three-year-old girl on Sunday ended on a happy on Monday. It is alleged a boy from Siddapura area in south Bengaluru kidnapped the girl.The police control room received a call and found the girl; near a mosque.

The police were looking for the girl in neighbouring areas since Sunday night. Her mother had filed a kidnap complaint saying the girl who was playing outside her house in Siddarpura slum, was abducted by a rag-picker.

Later, the police checked CCTV footage and found a teenager was walking with the girl followed by a burkah-clad woman. The police, however, are not sure whether the woman was linked to the kidnap.

“We had deputed around 60 policemen, mostly in plainclothes, in and around Jayanagar. At 7.30 pm,our control room received a call saying a minor was standing outside a mosque and crying. Her parents identified her. We are looking for the accused,” said a police officer.
