Bengaluru: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Leader and Former Police Personnel Bhaskar Rao on Sunday April 17 said that no violence would have occurred if police officials were given free hand.

Speaking to mediapersons on Hubballi violence, he said that instead of following the order of their superiors, many police officials are loyal to local MLAs. This makes the department indisciplined, he observed.

Further, Rao affirmed that police can maintain law and order better if there was no political interference. Also “Politicians must also refrain he added that no political statements disturbing communal harmony should me made.
