Bengaluru: Prithvi Reddy, State President of Aam Aadmi Party, Karnataka demanded on Wednesday that the BJP should obtain immediate resignation of their MLC Mahantesh Kavathagimath, who has sent vulgar photographs of women to a WhatsApp group of journalists and other persons.

Such regular misdeeds of their frustrated leaders has exposed the bogus claim of BJP of being a guardian of Indian culture, values and women’s dignity. Their ministers H Halappa and Renukacharya had gone to jail in rape cases while their members Krishna Palemar and Laxman Savadi desecrated the temple of democracy, the Assembly, by watching pornographic clips on their mobile phones. In all cases, the BJP has stood by its lecherous leaders.

A State’s Legislative Council is supposed to contain persons of pro-people attitude, thinkers and philosophers but people like Mahantesh Kavathagimath have denigrated the holy institution of democracy by their actions, Prithvi Reddy added.

He further said that if BJP has any shame and is indeed serious about its claim of being the custodian of Indian culture, traditions, values and women’s dignity, then it must immediately remove the tainted member from the Council and also sack him from the party.
