Bengaluru: Parents of a Class VIII student of a school in the city approached the Cubbon park police after their son received a pack of ganja from a peddler. Now the police have launched an investigation into the case and arrested the peddler.

According to police sources, the pack arrived on Independence Day. It was received by the parents and they quickly realised it was ganja and that their son may be addicted to the drug.

Based on the complaint lodged by the parents, the police arrested a 32-year-old drug peddler. Police are trying to find out whether he is part of a bigger drug network in the city.

The incident has sent shock waves across the city as the customer is a teenager.
