Bangalore: A nine-year-old girl has been allegedly raped in broad daylight at around 2.30pm, in a remote area off Begur main road on Saturday, January 4.
According to the reports it is learnt that the victim, who is a second standard student from Begur itself was returning home after school in the afternoon hours, when a man approached and kidnapped her to an isolated area.
He tied a piece of cloth on the victims face to make her helpless and then raped her. After sexually assaulting the unidentified man brought her back to the same place, left her and fled away, said the police sources.
When the victims parents acknowledged that their daughter had been raped, they took the child to a nearby hospital after which she was referred to be admitted at St Johns Hospital.
A case has been registered at Electronics City police station, under the section IPC – 376 as the medical reports have stated it to be a sexual assault, the police is further investigation the case and the hunt for the culprit is on.
Reportedly the police have already formed a team of seven police officers to nab the accused. The parents of the victim are laborers from Begur and are in a poor condition thus the entire expense is rendered by the government.
It is notably observed that the number of rapes and assaults in the modernized city of Bangalore are on hike day-by-day. In the year 2013, as per the statistic recorded 97 rapes have been listed.
