Bangalore: In surprise raids across the state, the Lokayukta on Tuesday has succeeded in recovering disproportionate assets to the tune of 9.7 crore rupees from seven Government officials. The raids were conducted in different locations including Mysore, Bangalore, Shimoga, Tumkur, Kolar etc.
Some of the officials whose premises were raided include KN Jagadeesh, TMC Commissioner of Kolar, Shivananjappa, Deputy Tahsildar of Banashankari, E Ramakrishnaiah, CDPO of HD Kote, Mysore.
The office of the Lokayukta has issued a statement that the bank accounts of the raided officials have been temporarily frozen and are under scrutiny.
