Bengaluru: Despite the fact that Covid-19 cases are decreasing in the City, 500 children under the age of 19 have tested positive for Covid in the last 10 days. However, the majority of them are between the ages of 10 and 19.

According to the data, in this ten-day period, 194 children in the age group of 0-9 years tested positive. The rest of the children are in the age group of 10-19 years.

These findings come amidst State government decided to start physical classes for the students between class XI and XII from August last week.

Meanwhile, the Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee asked the State government to launch the Sero survey among all the age groups except children below 6 years. This initiative may help the state government to find out the extent of prevalence of antibodies against the Covid-19.
