
Bengaluru: The BBMP has decided to take up works of converting 17 more roads of the city into the Tender Sure roads. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.190 crores. A total of 17.79 kilometer stretch of road will be developed under the scheme.
According to the proposal, the project will be taken up under the Smart City grant in aid. “These 17 roads include Raj Bhavan road, Kamaraj Road, Millor road, Kasturba road etc. The tender will be floated for the implementation of the project soon,” informed an officer familiar with the development.
“These works are implemented in 16 wards of four assembly constituencies,” he added.
“In Bengaluru city, under the smart city project, works of Rs. 1,742 crores will be implemented. The central government will bear Rs.500 crores. Rest of the amount is shared by the state government,” he added.
